# What happens during internet disconnection mid-test?

If a candidate loses internet connectivity during the assessment, a pop-up will appear notifying them of the disconnection, and the timer will be automatically paused. The test will attempt to reconnect once the internet connection is restored.

||| Candidates should not refresh the page or press the back button during a disconnection.

Once the connection is stable, the candidate can click **Reconnect** to resume the assessment from where they left off.
