# What is Automation in Xobin Tracks & how does Automation Work?

> **Automation** in Xobin Tracks helps you **automatically move candidates** through different hiring stages based on your set rules — without any manual effort.

This means you can define certain **criteria at each stage**, and Xobin will take care of moving or rejecting candidates accordingly. It saves you time, speeds up the hiring process, and ensures consistent decision-making.

Let's get to know how it works:

Let’s say your **first stage is the Applied Stage** (where candidates submit their basic info or answer application questions).

* Based on their answers (like availability, experience, shift preferences, etc.), candidates who meet your criteria will be **automatically moved to the next stage** — usually an assessment.

* As soon as they move to the **Assessment Stage**, the candidate will be **automatically invited to take the test**.

* After they complete the test, based on their score and your defined rules in the next stage (like a cut-off score), they will either:

1. Be **auto-advanced to the next stage**, or
2. Be **auto-rejected** if they don’t meet the requirement.

This smooth flow from one stage to another — including auto-invite and auto-move — is what makes automation in Xobin powerful and time-saving.
