# What should candidates do if the page freezes?

If the assessment page freezes or questions are loading slowly, the candidates follow these steps in order:
* Do a **hard refresh** (Ctrl + Shift + R) once.
* Switch their internet connection — if they're on Wi-Fi, switch to a mobile hotspot, or vice versa — and refresh the page.
* Copy the test link and try opening it in an Incognito window of a different browser.
* Check that their browser and system are up to date.
* If the issue persists, switch to a different device with a faster internet connection.
